Getting in the Holiday Spirit with Christmas Games, a Freebie, and a Giveaway!

Isn't it amazing how fast a year can pass?  It seems like just yesterday that the holidays were upon us... and now they're back!  Happy holidays everyone!

First things first, here's a holiday gift for everyone... a fun and FREE game for the smartboard or promethean board!

This FREE Christmas-themed game is the perfect way to get your students to practice fine-tuning their ability to distinguish between similarly spelled words and practice reading CVC and CVCe words. Students can segment the CVC or CVCe word at the bottom of the slide, then move the present to reveal a picture and see if they read the word correctly!

This Christmas themed game will have your students alternating between reading words with short vowel sounds and long vowel sounds - fine tuning their ability to read CVC and CVCe words. This 135 page self-checking game will have students reading words and finding the corresponding pictures... if students touch the correct picture, they hear a fun sound!      This Christmas-themed game is the perfect way to get your students to practice fine-tuning their ability to read CVC and CVCe words. Students need to identify what picture is at the top of the page and pick which of the two similarly spelled words at the bottom of the page is correct. This game will also help students with reading nonsense words... as some of the words included aren't real! Best of all, this game is self-checking... when students touch the correct answer they'll hear a fun cheering sound!

This Christmas-themed game is the perfect way to get your students practice tons of different skills in one activity! They'll need to read a CVC word, identify what rhyming word is identified by the picture, and use the spelling pattern and their knowledge of words with short vowels in order to spell the CVC word shown!      This game is the perfect way to get students reading CVC and CVCe words and identifying words with similar vowel sounds! Have students segment the word shown on the page and identify the short or long vowel sound in the word. Then, have the students click the three pictures on the page that have the same vowel sound! This game cheers for the students if they click the correct pictures on the page, and gives them guidance if they click an incorrect answer!
